Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Monthly closing & quarterly reporting;
- Review closing file calculations;
- Review calculations of bordereaux for reinsurance, co-insurance and campaign products handled manually;
- Perform the Underwriting Conditions Controls on a quarterly basis;
- Update the Risk Management Reporting and Risk Appetite reports on a quarterly basis;
- Lead the Dry-Run and Hard Close & review the Reserve Reports prepared by the Actuary;
- Contribute to the up-keep of the insurance product library;
- Review of MP forms and their product summaries ensuring consistency of data between both;
- Lead the actuarial aspect of internal and external audits;
- Provide documentation required by auditors;
- Attend meetings requested by auditors;
- Ensure to adhere to and close on time any recommendations raised by auditors;
- Review the calculations of the Best Estimate, Life Underwriting Risk, Non Life Underwriting Risk and Health NSLT Cat risk;
- Prepare the Risk Management Committee material, present the results of the Best Estimate of the previous quarter during the committee and contributing to the minutes after the committee takes place;
- Review the calculations for the Own Risk & Solvency Assessment (ORSA) for all the companies;
- Update the ORSA reports with the results of the calculations as well as the narrative where necessary and update reports following Actuary’s recommendations;
- Assist in the actuarial aspect of IFRS17;
- Assist in data preparation for the IFRS17 tool;
- Assist in testing of IFRS17 tool;
- Contribute to meetings & discussions on IFRS17 methodology;
- Assist on any requests received from the regulator / auditors.
Experience
- Hold a University Degree in Mathematics, Insurance or Statistics;
- Experience in an insurance environment is a plus;
- Fluency in English and any relevant European language;
- Knowledge in Microsoft Office tools especially Excel.
