Our client is a provider of corporate, tax, accounting, business advisory, and administration services.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing and nurturing relationships to understand their needs and provide tailored accounting solutions;
  • Prepare and review financial statements and reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, IFRS and other regulatory standards;
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations;
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of their financial records into our systems;
  • Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes for multiple clients, including account reconciliations and journal entries;
  • Review of clients’ bookkeeping, VAT returns and payroll;
  • Facilitate and coordinate external audits for clients, liaise with auditors, and ensure the implementation of audit recommendations;
  • Assist clients in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and financial insights to support their business decisions;
  • Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls for clients to safeguard their assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting;
  • Ensure clients’ compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations for clients;
  • Oversee the accounting systems and software used by clients, ensuring data integrity and security;
  • Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive financial services and support for client projects and initiatives.

Experience

  • Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with ACCA certification;
  • A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally within a client service environment;
  • Extensive knowledge of financial reporting;
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational abilities;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage client relationships effectively;
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple client priorities in a fast-paced environment;
  • Must be adept at planning and managing unexpected changes on a daily basis and capable of working under tight deadlines.
