Our client is a provider of corporate, tax, accounting, business advisory, and administration services.
Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, managing and nurturing relationships to understand their needs and provide tailored accounting solutions;
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for clients, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP, IFRS and other regulatory standards;
- Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of accountants, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations;
- Oversee the onboarding process for new clients, ensuring a smooth transition and integration of their financial records into our systems;
- Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes for multiple clients, including account reconciliations and journal entries;
- Review of clients’ bookkeeping, VAT returns and payroll;
- Facilitate and coordinate external audits for clients, liaise with auditors, and ensure the implementation of audit recommendations;
- Assist clients in preparing budgets and forecasts, providing variance analysis and financial insights to support their business decisions;
- Develop, implement, and maintain internal controls for clients to safeguard their assets and ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial reporting;
- Ensure clients’ compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings;
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of accounting operations for clients;
- Oversee the accounting systems and software used by clients, ensuring data integrity and security;
- Collaborate with other departments within the firm to provide comprehensive financial services and support for client projects and initiatives.
Experience
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, along with ACCA certification;
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally within a client service environment;
- Extensive knowledge of financial reporting;
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero) and the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
