BMS Engineer

Job Responsibilities and Duties

• Develop and implement building management systems, ensuring efficient operation and performance;
• Conduct site inspections, assess client needs, and design tailored solutions to meet project specifications;
• Assist with tendering processes by preparing technical proposals, documentation, and bills of quantities (BOQs);
• Create project plans, defining resource allocation, schedules, and team responsibilities;
• Oversee and coordinate project execution with subcontractors and third-party service providers;
• Provide on-site technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle;
• Deliver post-installation support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving client concerns;
• Train internal teams and external partners on system functionality and best practices;
• Design and execute comprehensive quality tests to ensure system reliability;
• Approve and sign off completed projects in line with contractual agreements;
• Prepare detailed operation and maintenance manuals for ongoing client reference;
• Keep all project-related documentation updated and organized;
• Occasionally travel abroad for short-term assignments as needed;
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned by senior management.

Experience

• Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering;
• Previous experience in a BMS engineering role is preferred;
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and BMS platforms like Niagara is advantageous.
