Location: Malta + Hybrid
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the monthly closing process
- Assist in the preparation of the financial statements
- Participate in the preparation of monthly reporting to the board
- Be a main driver of the annual statutory audit processes
- Be the main point of contact for gaming tax and finance compliance
- Assist in the preparation of monthly gaming tax computations
- Prepare and submit of the quarterly VAT returns and annual tax returns
- Perform day to day tasks such as invoice issuing to customers, invoice processing and other required tasks
- General ledger duties (postings, reconciliations, accruals & prepayments)
- Reconcile intercompany transactions and balances
- Liaising with external consultants such as third party accountants and tax consultants
- Drive innovation in the work processes, implementing automations as necessary
- Maintaining regular communication with team members, with members within the finance team and other internal members across different departments
About you :
- Degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel including advanced functions and pivot tables
- An inquisitive mind
- A self-starter
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision.
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organisations
