Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform routine analysis of product costs to ensure accuracy and comprehensiveness;
- Foster collaboration with procurement and production teams to collect cost data and assess cost-effectiveness;
- Monitor and report on inventory levels, identifying potential stock shortages or excesses;
- Cultivate strong relationships with warehouse teams to ensure precise recording of inventory transactions;
- Conduct thorough analysis of stock take results, and investigate variances;
- Assist in developing and implementing inventory control procedures;
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of reports detailing cost variances and inventory turnover;
- Engage with cross-functional teams to streamline efforts in optimizing inventory levels and reducing costs.
Experience
- Hold an A ‘level standard in accounting, or a related field;
- Demonstrate prior experience in cost accounting and in inventory management;
- Exhibit familiarity with fundamental cost accounting principles and various inventory management systems. Proficiency in Shireburn Inventory Management System (SIMS) is advantageous;
- Possess advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and other pertinent software applications;
- Knowledge of relevant accounting standards and regulations.
