Responsibilities:
- Assist in ensuring compliance with all local and foreign tax filings and notifications
- Liaise with tax authorities when required
- Assist in the review and submission of the quarterly VAT returns
- Assist in the review and submission of the yearly tax returns
- Assist in tax related projects that may arise from time to time
- Maintain tax balances in the general ledger
- Cooperate with auditors and consultants regarding tax-related areas as required
- Assist in the review of the monthly management accounts
- Assist in the monthly closing process
- Assist in the review of the annual financial statements of the group companies
About you:
- Degree or equivalent in finance, accounting, or a related field.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Excel including advanced functions and pivot tables
- An inquisitive mind
- A self-starter
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision
- Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organisations
