Job Description

We are on the lookout for the next numbers whizz to join as our Financial Analyst in Malta!

This is an exciting opportunity, where you will be forming a part of the Financial Planning team and assisting in analysis of financial performance, preparation of reporting for internal purposes, assistance in regulatory reporting and support in cost monitoring. It is a very dynamic and challenging role, which has the potential to touch all aspects of the business’s operations. A sense for detail, structure and order are essential.

Let’s break that down a bit, you will be reporting to our Business Controller and will assist in the following tasks:

  • Analysis, documentation and execution of processes and compliance in the areas of revenue and cost
  • Assist in the monthly closing process
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly gaming tax computation
  • Assist in the annual statutory audit processes
  • Support in strategic and tactical analyses such as ROI reporting
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the company’s planning and forecasting system.
  • Assist in data analysis and testing.
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

Cool, I’m ready to do it” is what you’re thinking then hopefully you will start to nod with the next sentences too. You are fluent in English and hold a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, business analysis/administration or related. You have pretty good knowledge of Microsoft Excel with strong financial modelling including advances functions and pivot tables.

Additionally, you are a self-started with an inquisitive mind set, able to perform quality work within deadlines with or without direct supervision. Being part of a bigger team, you do like a are able to work independently, while understanding the necessity of communicating and coordinating work efforts with other employees and organization.
