Our client is a Government Authority.

Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Develop and maintain an up-to-date IT/IS strategy and policy;
  • Design and support internal ERP processes;
  • Design, develop, and support applications and related procedures based on the MS SharePoint product;
  • Participate in the design, development, and deployment of web applications using diverse forms of technologies, from specification to testing, ensuring compliance with quality standards and processes;
  • Ensure the proper functioning of the organization’s IT systems at all times;
  • Assist in managing information plans, including identifying information needs, associated risks, and benefits;
  • Plan and execute network upgrades, updates, re-designs, and enhancements;
  • Develop and implement IT and IS training and awareness strategies;
  • Establish and maintain appropriate records and knowledge management tools and systems;
  • Coordinate the implementation of initiatives/projects and act as a liaison between all stakeholders as necessary;
  • Conduct research on related themes as required;
  • Deliver presentations in support of Information Management and Development Unit initiatives/projects;
  • Perform any other tasks assigned by the Senior Manager, ICT & Digital Services;
  • Implement project activities in accordance with agreed plans;
  • Contribute to the business planning process and its implementation;
  • Recommend new initiatives and work plans to achieve objectives related to the Group’s functions;
  • Coordinate with the organization’s ICT-related vendors;
  • Ensure compliance with digital services-related regulations;
  • Research and disseminate information to relevant stakeholders;
  • Monitor progress in each critical phase of entrusted projects;
  • Ensure the quality and timeliness of project outputs and results;
  • Maintain all relevant technical and financial documents;
  • Prepare and submit the necessary management and financial reports.

Experience

  • Hold a Degree or higher (EQF level 6) in Computing, IT, or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field. OR;
  • Hold a Diploma (EQF level 5) in Computing, IT, or a related discipline with a minimum of 8 years of experience in the field;
  • Experience with the Microsoft Server platform;
  • Familiarity with backup/restore processes;
  • Knowledge of general networking principles;
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office;
  • Familiarity with Windows Server and Active Directory technologies;
  • Experience in an SQL environment and knowledge of SQL Reporting would be considered an asset;
  • Experience in a SharePoint environment would be considered an asset;
  • Experience with cloud technologies would be considered an asset;
  • Knowledge of workflow is desirable;
  • Recognized certifications in information technology or related fields are desirable.
