Job Responsibilities and Duties

  • Reporting into the Commercial Director;
  • Working closely with the operations and technical departments;
  • Develop and take ownership of the product roadmap for the app and website, while co-ordinating delivery scheduled with commercial and technical teams;
  • Work hand in hand with the technical team to create and execute the product strategy, translating company high level vision and goals into actionable tasks;
  • Responsible for taking our app and website to the next level, through continuous improvement and competitor analysis;
  • Manage the product life cycle from sunsetting legacy products to prototyping and testing new features/products and ideas through coordination with other departments;
  • Prepare business plans and business cases demonstrating financial feasibility;
  • Work with rapid testing and ensure an agile approach is taken to execute necessary changes to increase usability and performance of our app and website;
  • Commercial lead for the identification and execution of improvements to existing and new features/services to be added to the company platforms whilst overseeing its contribution to our business through increased revenue and profitability, and added value to customers;
  • Focused on identifying improvements to the overall platform and product execution that enables market and our e-wallet share expansion;
  • Seek continuous improvement of existing features and services and ensure the app ranks highest on the marketplace due to the standard of quality we offer;
  • Spend time to understand market problems and finding innovative solutions and increase the relevance of the app to a larger audience;
  • Carry out strategy and market research and assess market competition on a continuous basis;
  • Identify new potential partner relationships to integrate with the platform;
  • In line with competitor analysis, develop strategies and tactics to reduce threats and take advantage of opportunities;
  • Gather market feedback and requirements directly from customers, partners and company sales, marketing, and customer experience teams;
  • Work to bridge the gap between users and our technical teams, to ensure improvements are made accordingly;
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create effective marketing strategies and correctly position the product on the marketplace;
  • Seek consensus by receiving suggestions, critique and praise with an open mind and communicating effectively with all stakeholders;
  • Support sales channels, partners, key customers and be prepared to communicate with all areas of the company.


  • Holding a Tertiary level education ideally in Computer Science, Engineering, Maths and Statistics or a related field;
  • At least 3 years’ product management experience particularly with mobile apps on iOS and Android, ideally coming from telecommunication, gaming or similar background;
  • Experienced in product managing mobile apps (IOS, Android) and consumer facing products to become market-winning solutions;
  • Able to perform Quantitative Analysis (including A/B testing, prototyping, etc.) and research to understand behaviour;
  • Experience in a rapid-testing environment;
  • Ecommerce, supply chain experience;
  • Experience initiating and driving projects to completion with minimal guidance.
