Job Description

Excellent opportunity to join Betsson Group as our Facilities Maintenance Specialist in Malta.

 

The Role

The purpose of this role is to ensure that Betsson Group maintains its reputation for boasting leading state of the art working environment. The Facilities Maintenance Specialist will support with ensuring optimal working conditions for employees as well as managing health and safety.

The aim is to provide employees with a first-class level of service regarding facilities and maintenance whilst implementing smart cost and supplier management for our Betsson offices in Malta.

 

A flavour of what you’ll be doing

Stakeholder & Contractor Management:

  • Be a first line contact for all internal and external stakeholders and contractors related to Facilities
  • Acting as Besson’s representative whilst building and maintaining good business relationships with third parties, monitoring service delivery, and measuring their performance
  • Establishing relationships with other functional departments such as IT, Security, Finance and Legal

Finance Management:

  • Calculating and comparing costs for required goods or services to achieve maximum value for money maintaining high operational standards
  • Support to track all site relevant actual spends vs. budget

Health & Safety Management:

  • Ensure all records are kept up to date in relevant locations
  • Assist in carrying out safety procedures when needed

Site Operations Management:

  • Conduct site inspections and assessments to ensure all building procedures and performance measures are always maintained
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise
  • Coordinate the day-to-day facilities requests and relevant works through our online Service Desk
  • Provide administrative support in office projects, space management, relocations and moves
  • Champion a high discipline regarding Office Policies
  • Assist in preparing documentation for vendor contracts/tenders
  • Work with the Global Office and Facilities Manager to evaluate, propose and implement appropriate tools/processes to support the Facilities function
  • Support the implementation and monitoring of disaster recovering and business continuity plans

Facilities Hard Services:

  • Administration of building/hard services including fire safety systems, HVAC systems, mechanical and electrical systems, energy and utility, water treatment etc that include responsibility of:
    • Assessing end-of-life status of all mechanical and electrical systems with the responsible third-party contractors and providing suitable plans to ensure all systems remain optimal
    • Administration and ownership of Planned Preventive Maintenance calendar that captures all scheduled maintenance works
    • Creating an O&M/Building manual for the Malta Offices

Who you are

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience working within the Facilities or Administration function
  • At least 2 years’ experience in working with building systems, maintenance and troubleshooting
  • Good working knowledge of buildings services installations including HVAC / Electrical and other technical systems
  • Experience in health, safety and welfare areas
  • Familiarity with facilities documentation including O&M manuals, drawings, engineer reports, compliance certificates and PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance) planners
  • Practical experience in Hard Services contract delivery
  • Solid experience in the management of external suppliers, contactors and consultants covering a range of services

 

Nice to have

  • Experience in Project Management

  • Be computer literate and knowledge in MS office software
  • Demonstrable experience in creation of Documentation and Standard Operating Procedures
