Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Perform a technical, organizational and supervisory role on construction projects;
- Be the head of the site management team, liaising with and working alongside architects, engineers, construction managers and foremen;
- Act as the main technical adviser on a construction site;
- Solve technical issues that arise daily on site;
- Ensure that the drawings and specifications of the Project are complied with;
- Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site;
- Oversee vendors and ensure quality standards are met;
- Ensure safety guidelines are followed on all job sites;
- Plan the work and efficiently organize the plant and site facilities in order to meet, agreed on deadlines; job requirements;
- Responsible for formal performance review process of direct reports;
- Create and maintain schedules;
- Provide quick responses to production issues;
- Identify problems and help improve processes;
- Use software to generate reports and schedules;
- Ensure that company deadlines are met.
Experience
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree;
- Must have a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in wooden cladding;
- Be fluent in Maltese and English;
- Hold a clean Driving Licence;
- Experience in managing numerous finishing foremen;
- Minimum of 3 years relevant experience in production control, inventory management, or planning will be an advantage;
