Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Define and evaluate electronic communications and postal markets;
- Study how much competition exists in these markets;
- Keep an eye on relevant market changes and report on them;
- Engage in other necessary initiatives;
- Update the Management Team on progress;
- Publish consultation documents and decisions when needed;
- Work with EU National Regulatory Authorities, BEREC, the EU Commission, and other stakeholders;
- Attend local and international meetings and workgroups;
- Create and share reports on sector performance twice a year;
- Conduct surveys to gather data on market competition;
- Analyze policy matters in relevant areas;
- Offer advice within the company and to other Maltese organizations and overseas NRAs;
- Supervise external contractors following project management best practices;
- Review markets and recommend actions;
- Prepare impact assessment reports as required by the Chief Policy & Planning;
- Gather and maintain statistical data for analysis;
- Research local and international developments in the assigned policy area and maintain a database accessible to all staff;
- Contribute to improving internal procedures, especially those involving customer interactions;
- Draft consultation papers and manage the processes leading to decisions;
- Complete other tasks as assigned by the Chief Policy and Planning.
Experience
- Have a Bachelor’s degree in Economics;
- Excellent command of verbal and written English and knowledge of Maltese language;
- Proficient use of office automation tools, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.

- Solid analytical and report writing skills;
- Project management skills;
- Ability to lead and/or participate as a member of a team.
