Job Responsibilities and Duties
- Process payroll for all employees accurately and on time using Shireburn software;
- Maintain payroll information by collecting, calculating, and entering data;
- Update payroll records by entering changes in exemptions, insurance coverage, savings deductions, and job title and department/division transfers;
- Prepare reports by compiling summaries of earnings, taxes, deductions, leave, and non-taxable wages;
- Resolve payroll discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information;
- Provide payroll information by answering questions and requests;
- Maintain employee confidence and protect payroll operations by keeping information confidential;
- Comply with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions;
- Enhance professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, and participating in professional societies.
Experience
- Demonstrated experience as a Payroll Executive or in a similar role;
- Extensive hands-on experience with Shireburn payroll software;
- In-depth knowledge of payroll principles, practices, and regulations;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
